In 2016, while living in Europe, I spent two years recording every first message I received from my Tinder matches. In the end, I had 2,189 messages out of 6,218 matches recorded.
It wasn’t until 2022 that I finally re-visited the data that I had collected. The end result is a collection of 19 postcards, symbolizing the age I was when I started this project. Each postcard compiles every message I received while in each country — 19 countries, 19 postcards.
